searching finding letting go

The book zoeken vinden loslaten inspired me in 2004 to start writing on this website about spirituality in my daily life. The columns in this book differ from the other columns published on this website in that they are narrative in nature.

Each column is a fragment of an ongoing account of a journey. An account without absolute answers and without a rigid structure. You will read stories about people setting out on their search, about being stuck and letting go. By letting go while continuing to stay focused, the deepest insights and purest feelings begin to unfold.

Sometimes the central figure is a mystical character. At other times, it is someone whose simplicity turns out to conceal a rich inner life. This “richness” may reveal itself in breathtaking ways or almost imperceptibly, through sweeping visions or seemingly small breakthroughs.

The best way to read the book is one column a day, either upon waking or before going to sleep.
